CEO, OMGPOP

Dan Porter the CEO of OMGPOP, a social games developer for Facebook, iPhone and the web. OMGPOP is funded by Spark Capital, Bessemer Venture Partners, Softbank and Rho Capital and has over 25 games released with millions of monthly players. Prior, Dan was the SVP Corporate Development for Richard Branson and The Virgin Group in North America where he led investments and sat on a number of Boards of Virgin Companies. Dan was also President of TicketWeb, the first online ticketing company, which he sold to Ticketmaster CitySearch. Before getting into business, Dan was a founder and President of Teach For America, launched some of the first Charter schools in NYC and was a public school teacher in Brooklyn. Danhas a B.A. from Princeton University, an M.A. in Latin American Studies from NYU and lives in Brooklyn with his wife, kids, various pets and guitar. He is also active in First Growth Network, TechStars and is the founder of Inside Startups.
